Canada’s Tar Sands ( on land stolen from the Indigenous Nations)

How easy it was, to give somebody’s land away
well of course it is when they are
Unethical bastards, insensitive sods
Who lie through their teeth and as far

As they see, they are heartless
and greedy and so full of absolute dread
Wilful and selfish, they’re pumped up
their stupid like the walking dead
The great Hopi Lands is now where
the Tar sands
bring to the earth such despair
The elders look up at this mountain of shit
Feeling powerless to stop it, aware

That The heavens have opened exposing this hell
And the Indian lands are aflow
With some of the worst kinds of chemical toxins
But Canadian’s don’t want to know.
Vast awful spaces seen from Outer Space
Vile dark and devilshly devoid of grace
With the wild and the most rugged landscapes
That have been levelled, and done away
The cosmic significance of this event
For a people with so little say

Great Corporations like dinosaur devils
trudge across virginal scapes
Cancer, deformity, this whole enormity
and the continual rapes
are ignored by the demons now raking in dollars
swimming in shit with the best
The poor Athabasca is entirely poisoned
worse now than anyone guessed

These oil barons high to the lows that abound
Intoxicated by their wealth
There is not one prophet amongst them
just low life,who got there by stealth
They are deluded and so have excluded
the people who’ve been made like pawns
On their chess board the rooks
will soon get their hooks
Into people no matter who
Warns

them this degradation is futile
They can’t see the problems they cause
Tar sands to Canada is the event
And there is no reason to pause
Like lambs to the slaughter
Through hell and high water
This country now falls to its knees
The Yanks and the Banks
now attack on all flanks
