Why can’t you see a fur coat = murdered animals

There is something odd
I feel today
for the psyche somehow
seems
to miss
the correlation between
the facts
it dreams
up some other strategy
and believes what’s clearly wrong
is right well for that moment
perhaps not all along

it kind of lets those people
who
want to wear new fur
off
they don’t need reminding
or hear people scoff
about their need
to wear a fur
its cold and furs
are warm
where they come from
don’t tell us
we’re like leaves
in a storm

they close their eyes
to reality
and the cruelty
that exists
for them the world
of fashion
of designers
are like mists
of time
that roll in daily
and have no bearing on how
they make their lovely choices
whether, skins from somecow
rabbits, sheep, fox or bears
happen to be used
whether the donor
was happy with its life
or was abused

at that time and moment
all they want to see
is a beautiful coat
or whatever
and it belongs to me

and the fact that
it belonged to
something resembling a life
doesn’t come into their thinking
that, it was killed with a knife
hung up on some rusty hook
and its skin was torn away
they do not care a monkeys
it happened far away

now look at this lovely coat
designed by some creep who
was as ignorant as the wearer
but earned blood money too
who closed their mind to reality
as the fur industry does
the murder and the mayhem
its all a great big fuzz

and now so many do it
starlets and the like
their living in some vacuum
and despite how other psych
them out about their choices
they blatantly expose
the furs before the cameras
and so the feeling grows

why can’t they see
a fur coats means
dead animals
and if they see this
how can they still feel
justified to sacrifice the innocent
many of them
and not hear the squeal
of agony as people
commit murder
torture them
deprive them of
a life
put an electric poker
up their backsides
or gas them
giving off such evil strife

models on the cat walk
strut their booty
clad in bloody furs
and all aglow
designers cutting up
their myriad patterns
they of course
well they of course do know

but for them it just one thing
which is, money
and animals no one hears them squeal
and even if they did
so what they tell themselves
this is 2013 so get real!

and this is what I am saying
we are getting real
we are raising our potential
and we see
we hear the squeals of agony
we are sentient’s
and now we wish to
be seen as such, we be

compassionate and kind
to one another
we do not seek to torture
or to hurt
we do not want to see
a raccoon dog under the boot
of a lout on face book
that’s just far too curt

we do not want to be part
of the massacre of baby seals
in Canada for we know
we are highly evolved being’s
and we have feelings
and fur is bloody murder
and that’s so
