Shame we didn’t honour the first people

Yes, the white man he was born again
he never really felt the pain
we guardians of the wildest west
the coldest nights
how they did test
we drank our water
from the stream
we farmed the land
and could redeem
ourselves by
maintaining purity
of land of air
for all to be
the white man came
he stole our land
polluted our streams
read his bible
and destroyed our dreams
sent us far
to a reservation
but of course it was our nation
but he was a fine upstanding man
he read his bible
and made his plan
we were red like the summer sun
our clothes were natural
and we could run
like the storm clouds
passing through the sky
and many of us knew
we had to die
when the white man came
he stole our land
but he never really
could understand
