I make no excuse for this graphic account of murder a mother and her baby no less

The futility of life
the great expression
that we see a pregnant cow
in an abattoir
she was clearly swollen
but hoisted by one leg
pulled up in the gantry
and she about to peg
out as one sick specimen
dressed in red overalls
slashes her throat
and watches the blood
now as it falls
clearly she’s in agony
her eyes roll
here and there
she must be wondering
about her baby
how now can she share
life with that sweet innocent
hanging from a chain
and the slaughter men steps
foward’s and slices her again
and her lovely little baby
slithers to the floor
its afterbirth its bloody sac
and the assorted gore
kicking trying to sit up
breathing deeply and
clearly seeing mother hanging
can it understand
is this life
is this the earth
where mother found the seed
raped by some vile arse hole
and now just left to bleed
the baby choking, kicking
hopeful clearly he
fraught with seeing his mother
dangling helplessly
then up steps another
nasty piece of work
and slaughters the wee baby
with a thrust
blood spills from the wound
its legs a’kicking
the world looks on
and must feel the disgust
to write about such evil
cuts the marrow
sicken and suggests
to all who see
such trauma and such ugliness
for clearly this is terrible
then scooped up
and disposed of tragically
and hosed off to oblivion
that dying baby
within its soul the picture
it had seen
of its poor mother mangled
by her murderers
in what can only be
really obscene

they filmed it too
to show us all how terrible
the slaughter men are and just how they feel
nothing for a baby in the early throes of life
tossed into a bin that awesome wheel
of life stamped out an act of such aggression
toward a infant lying on a floor
watching its dear mother dying slowly
in what was clearly
the most evil war
