In the rolling hills lush and green
cattle were procured
off to Qatar’s Al Waab Farm
it seems many were lured
they were told that it was
owned by some great prince
and so they shipped
10,000 out in February
but some how,
things have slipped
the facilities in Qatar
were terrible
the heat there is so high
no cow can stand
they need a lot of water
they need care and attention
neglecting livestock
wasjust out of hand
and now the worst has happened
class breeding stocks are dead
in just a few month sadly
and its all come to a head
promises were made about facilities
and they
were clearly all pie in the sky
at the, end of the day
no real yards to speak of
just lying in hot sand
will burn them from the inside out
but they don’t understand
and when the Australian farmer
went over just to see
she was flabbergasted at the extent
of negligence, the key
appears to be there’ are standards
for exported cows for slaughter
but for breeding programmes
nothing much in place
I mean, no water!
for cows to drink
when temperatures
exceed 50 degrees
of course they are dehydrated
and buckling at the knees
of course they look
the worst for wear
no shelter to be seen
the sun will burn them
to a cinder this care
was just too mean
out of the biggest shipment
3000 or so left
that is bloody terrible
all those cows bereft
of care and understanding
its altogether wrong
those farmers and the government
should have seen how it
went wrong!
we saw last year
the terror where Australia has its rules
blind eyes turned
just not concerned
and atrocities and calls
happening all around the place
to animals no care
and now the breeding problems
show us no one seems aware
again it comes back down to
peoples thinking
Desert Farming is a can of worms
animals fed and raised in Oz will suffer
and clearly most have died
coming to terms
with all that basic suffering
some farmers now say
they
will never
export stock again
that’s good
that’s what I say
But money changed hands
and so the cows were shipped abroad
the cattle took a bashing
not a great reward
shich cuts buyer and cuts seller
and the cows themselves as well
they left their lovely pastures
for what turned out to be hell
Australia is lacking in its kind of control
it should have checked the facilities
they were told were there
their role!
the cows
have perished painfully
a real state to be in
ban this trade completely
because nobody does win
