Just outside my window

Its just gone 5
on a Sunday
and little cotton fluffs
of snow are falling
against my window pane
outside in the Viburnum
I can hear its dulcet tones
a song bird giving voice
to some sweet aria
no stones
unturned
I thought the gritter
truck, has just rolled passed
my door
and this little soul
is singing
like I’ve never
heard before
