Recently the household names have been
trying to redress
the burger and lasagne thing
that got them in a mess
a nation of horse lovers
was very sad to see
within their bloody ready meal
was horse and pig for free
horse slaughter is a horrid act
that much of course, we know
poor killing proceedure’s
and the torment it does grow
to realise the burgers were horse
and pig who let
that get into the beef chain
had it just got through the net
up went arms like crazy
trying to reduce the shock
that sent some souls in search of help
that admission it did knock
a hole in all their packaging
their marketing, their sales
it put the wind up CEO’s
envisaging de rails
of budgets and of business
clearly it did shock
horse meat in their childrens
foods
the devil did unlock
a frightening scenario
which mean’t nobody knew
exactly what was in the food
that had been sold into
the supermarket systems
supposedly controlled
but, in actuality
they had to be consoled
if the truth be known
it probably has happened many times
its just it wasn’t picked up
as one of the sordid crimes
Though suddenly the FSA is seen
to crack the whip
Findus, Tesco quite
a lot have discovered
its no trip
sourcing the meat products
from all around the place
Beef sees horse and pork
and this and that
its a disgrace
with all these specifications
cheap horse meat would appear
to have galloped right on through
these production systems
and a tear or two
has clearly rolled down some
of the CEO’s faces oh!
jockeying for position
in the high stakes
now on show
