The Hare and the Dragon

The Hare and his frosty halo
the dragons fire remains
deep within his stomach
his bowel heat he contains
its never ever wasted
its not just shared out free
He saves his fire for only one
the dear delightful C
his Goddess, who is my goddess too
her aura fuels our fire
her beauty is beyond what mortals feel
and we never tire
of feeling, it festooning us
its subtleness, its power
unlit by any street lamps
just moonlight every hour
descending in pure droplets
of gold and silver rain
that melts the hearts
of her followers
who readily attain
the light, that is her eyes
a true reflection of her soul
we share it and we benefit
and take our special role
as snow elves in all far off dreams
the university
of the faeries and the goddess
and every forest tree
the privilege of serving
our goddess is to feel
the true warmth from her lovely heart
as such, love does reveal
the Hare sits quietly contemplating
warmed by the Dragons heat
shared with Goddess followers
who mingle at her feet
