Australia

I’ve been there
I’ve seen it
the land where the sun
sits high in the sky
and care’s for no one
the first people known
as the Aborigine
lived, and so many died
unfortunately
picked on, and discriminated
against, and lost
in a world
of white power
which has cost

those real Australians
who’ve seen their land
just confiscated
who can understand
the wrong
that’s been done
by the Government who
lacked all understanding
of just what to do
They were and still are
Australians, they
live close to nature
in their unique way
forcibly trained of course to be white
as opposed to the great
fundamental birth right
given, little credence
and raped of their thoughts
demoralised slowly
and jailed by the courts
fraught with suggestion
destroyed as they sat
those wonderful souls
knew where they were at
they knew the outback,
they understood
sustainable living
for them it was good
they lived in each moment
the land was their place
the sky and the wind
and the undying space
they listened succinctly
to what the white man
took upon himself
as he over ran
and destroyed their culture
their ways and their soul
took them to task
with abhorrent control
broke them infact
killed their spirit
and tried
to just take them over
which they well denied
I am talking about a most
profound tribe
whose nomadic lives we
all might imbibe
they lived profoundly
they really cared
they did not pollute
and their knowledge they shared
but over the centuries
what has been done
is they have been broken
and ruled by the gun
prejudice, discrimination and hate
for a nation of true souls
who still do create
lasting impressions
and must see, respect
their land is their land,
oh! yes I detect
some whites getting hot under the collar
but they
must remember in real terms
they’ve had their day
in everyone’s history
tears soak the earth
and only time can see
an honest re birth
Australia has to remember
its roots
in the land where the sun
cares for no one, and brutes
who admonish the angels
will begin to find
the outback of guilt will soon
play on their mind
the world is now looking
at what’s going on
and needs to see all of the
prejudice gone.

Inspired my dear soul mate Claudia
for asking me to write something for them all
