A & E and not much glee

A flutter of flakes
from a curtain of grey
a savage shrill wind
and its starting to lay
and adhere to the trees
in the coldest embrace
and now it is settling
all over the place
thank goodness I’m inside
not out on the street
in somewhere that’s warm
I just hate cold feet
when the boots let in water
and the socks get all wet
they squelch when you walk
and that’s when your set
to remove them and wash them
and thats when you can
tread on a tack or a pin
it began
with the snow
and its now
A & E
thinking of lock jaw
and, yule tide glee
its the middle of the night
and your missing your sleep
so next time don’t buy boots
that just were too cheap.
