Shark Bait

What sort of man or women
can take an unwanted stray
force it on a fishing hook
and hope that they can play
a shark, upon their fishing line
and bring it in and take its fins
this is the sinful thing some do
clearly their thick skins
preclude them from emotion
their thoughtlessness, for they
are carrying out such nasty crimes
and the animal earthlings pay
Today I signed a petition
for those people, who do
this kind of thing
what they should get
is similar treatment too
Imagine that poor canine
leaking blood into
the ocean, that salt smarting
as its legs are running through
the motions, to swim frantically
then finding out its bait
and a shark will crush its body
then the hook, will spell, its, fate
pulled aboard gaffed in the side
and its fins hacked off, oh! dear
the poor thing thrown back in the sea
to be eaten too, its clear
these criminals are proving
we are now in evil times
and when caught the penalty must be
comparative to their crimes

    you know animals are a gift from god i have no human children but my oldest son is a pittbull named strike i love him like a human because to me hes an equal he eaven had a birthday party. Thankyou all for trying your damndest to seee all animals are treated equal

      Amanda thanks for your comments I write everyday for the animals for the indigenous peoples and for the environment. Thank you for your nice words that makes me very happy. I do try very hard to appeal to those who hurt animals with poetry rather than just letters or petitions.

    What i don’t realize is in reialty how you are now not really a lot more smartly-liked than you might be now. You are so intelligent. You realize thus significantly in terms of this subject, produced me for my part believe it from so many varied angles. Its like women and men aren’t involved until it’s one thing to accomplish with Woman gaga! Your personal stuffs outstanding. Always deal with it up!
