Sleeping on the train

Whether your a sleeper

That enjoys the lovely train

That simple rolling motion

That captures you again

Or whether you prefer to watch

Those little towns slip by

Lost in complete darkness

Lost to your minds eye

Many a group of travellers

May create their own sweet dream

Imagining the world so close

And all that may now seem

Out there in the Bush, perhaps

A mother Kangaroo

Leaping forwrd avidly

Perhaps and old Emu

The fact you haven’t seen them yet

Did not mean they wern’t there

It just mean’t they were sleeping

too

When you did stop to stare
