And a lot of it sadly is down
to the Meat Trade
Fast forwards you got it
A massive profit!

High waste/pollution
animal feed of Low grade
The parasite pushes the message
The TV chefs, media’s paid
Programming, all of it
Subtle
For they’re earning money
real fast
And Wild habitats are being transformed
From forests to Palm oil,its cast
to Soya,
The waste from these animals
It is too vast
It runs in to rivers,it runs in to oceans
The vegans look on just aghast

Feeding the cows on an unnatural diet
creates nitrous oxide galore
Methane, and so many other vile
products knocking on every ones door
the antibiotics, the hormones
The GM,the cloning, so much
Industrial Farming
Is blooming well harming
And most of us seem out of touch

all this media hype
pharmaceutical tripe
For Climate change is
in our ear
Corporations are buying ethical business
and spewing out babies to fear
Fish Farming,Prawn farming all of it harming
Mangroves and coasts now for sure
Meat is the food of the moment And meat is the food I abhor

Fast Foods are playing their cards
Vast slaughter methods huge farming outlets
And really not enough good safeguards
Batteries,cages, abominably cruel
Live exports of calves and feed methods and
all
now very much in the hands of a few
Who seem to tell us, what to and not do

The product on offer is not very good
It lived too short time, much less than it should
We really must wake up to reality
They are taking the piss and more have to see
And the planet and its resource are now being raped
The forests,the great rivers
Once so landscaped
into the countryside
Now they are left
Polluted and dying Nature’s bereft

Everyone’suffering, you see it,around
Polar Bears trapped on the last piece of ground
Low lying beaches being swamped by the sea
but the Corporate few now much bigger they be
Many out stripping the nations we know
The animals lives on these farms have to grow, faster in shorter time, profit is king
Their deaths are more violent and they are, suffering

And Governments are going along with it all
They get their taxes which is as a rule
Large enough really to save them from pain
And they grow and they grow causing more and more strain
To the much smaller businesses and the small farms,To the retail shops and the town centre’s charms
Boarded up shops litter high streets galore
and behind all these boards sadness for sure
Closures and re- possessions its all there
Catalogues really of people despair

I think that the vegans do have a strong case
And more thinking of this kind may save our race
Less land allocated for animal feed, more forests saved,its going to lead
To less degradation of oceans and sea
or rivers and streams and of course you and me
Less noxious gases,more wild habitats
Less pressure on indigenous people and cats
Tigers and wild souls the wolves they will be
along with the bears allowed to roam free
So much of the land that is stolen today
is about the meat trade in a roundabout way
and the freeing up really of all this resource
will improve our lot as a matter of course
