The brothers of Nari 7

The Brothers of Nari
Went out on a starry
Evening, to hunt for a Deer
The pack had not eaten for 3 days
And it was now, abundantly clear
There was genuine hunger
The pups were all edgy
And we Brothers were charged really to
Sort out some food for the family
And just do what we had to do

Lone Wolf was an excellent stalker
His patience was second to none
He could walk over leaves and not make a sound
Tensely each slow motion run
Was remarkable, Me
I was clumsy, and even a human might hear
if I trod on a twig, not because I was big but the sounds that it made to the ear
So Lone went ahead, with his ears cocked, he led
The way to the Lakota Camp, over the stream where their ancestors dream
And into Blakes Ranch House instead

Why run for a deer when there’s so few round here
And the ranch had fresh lambs in the field
True there were guns
Old Blake had 3 sons
And both lone and me we did fear
How the great firesticks bite
In the dead of the night
But we stole into that field
and we
Took a nice big fat Sheep
Without as much as a peep
And dragged it away rapidly
That old dog of there’s
Barked its head off
our prayers
were answered
for we got away
Up past the camp and onto our cave
Together we had saved the day
And that grass fed sheep tasted lovely
To see our sweet pups in repose
We laid down to dream
Yea we make a good team
Though the habitat loss problem grows

    Perfect 🙂 …
Maybe I was a good stalker & move without a sound but all operation depended on your wisdom & experience …Remember dear elder brother? 😉
& that “Though the habitat loss problem grows” … Oh yeah bro, I can smell the growing disaster…

This is a work of fiction based around two brothers who head up a small wolf pack, inevitably it tries to offer some news of the real plight of real wolves in a real situation, and hopefully people reading will understand that we are mainly the culprits for transgressing onto wild lands. We must be less aggressive in what we build on wild land and allow the wild creatures to keep their space. Thankyou Lone for your comments.

  3. I like how you’ve utilized this information. It’s engaging content. I share many of your viewpoints and can easily grasp what you’re trying to say.
