“Sisnela” The wild Steppe Eagle

“Sisnela” was a brave Steppe Eagle
resident of India who wintered by the
Caspian in January, He
Was a handsome fellow, his legs and cere were yellow
His bill was grey and hooked
and growing continually
The habitat he loved the steppe and semi
deserts, where
From some 2 miles away he could see a rabbit
at her lair
Ferocious he at hunting, once locked on a soul
His speed was just fantastic, for he was in complete control.
When impressing the ladies
Eagles often do lock talons and go free falling and can hit a tree or two
Which in his case has resulted in a broken wing
But fortunately in his case Lone Wolf
said he could bring
Him back with him to Tehran
Where a wild vet seemingly
Specialised in birds of prey
And could help him naturally

Such a handsome warrior
a wondrous sight in flight
his acrobatics tempted man
To join him at least, by sight
So unique of feather
Nobility of the sky
The master of his habitat
Which of course was why
Lone was so concerned to help
And did so recently
Lets hope the eagle is on the mend
And once again will be
Soaring over Isfahan
in the thermals where
Those who see him marvel
at what is a bird so rare.

How fortunate we are that Lone was on hand
and prepared to help.
