Eco friendly paint is worth trying

That wall at home
that’s looking a bit dodgy
needs a lick of paint
to make it great
Perhaps a little feature
in the bedroom
and that plinth in the kitchen
is in a state
So off to the DIY to get some ideas
some tins of paint
to brighten up my day
Do I go for Dulux or the
Paint shop’s special brands
And whats in a tin of paint
now anyway?

Sick Building Syndrome
Has a lot to do with it
Solvents
Volatile organic compounds
or VOC’s
Benzene, xylene
Formaldehyde
Ah! thats in vaccinations
so thats okay
clearly there to please

and then of course
Nowadays
Synthetic colours
Polymers
in my bedroom
where I sleep
a change of heart
I think I’ll spend a bit more
and go green
forget the chemical solvents
eco friendly thats the scene
and use the brain I was given
and just not be so mean
