Animal earthlings are sentient

When the Tsunami crashed
into the coastline
causing such destruction and despair
All around the areas it was noticed
Animal earthlings somehow were aware

And apparently were able to get to higher
ground
which was sensible and saved their lives
but, we
The people thousands didn’t get that warning
Were not as highly tuned, it seems to me

Horses ran to higher ground
Elephants did too
Buffalo not one was killed
somehow they clearly knew
People many watched the waves
and were wiped out instantly
Wild animals have sensitive
sensations,obviously.

naked in their raw state
always in bare feet
They still pick up vibrations
No matter how discreet
For me a waste to just end up
as bloody chunks of meat
For those apparently who lack
the knowledge
and death they fail to cheat
That latent sensitivity of old
Communicated over time and
worth its weight in gold

Human carnivores are quick to tell us
That animals were put on earth so we
Could wear their fur, and eat their flesh
and drink their blood, and wear their skin
which many do, and they do it constantly
They forget that creatures are equipped with amazing traits and that we
Often do not possess such gifts
such sensitivity

So imagine how an animal must feel in the great big shed
The corporate dictators keep them, there thats where their fed
creature oh! so sensitive to sound, to pain, to woe
Are locked up in some vast great prison camp
As we all know

Instead of out in the open to feed on wild plants there
To feel the warm sun on their backs
and to breathe the country air
To wander in the pasture to feel a shower
of rain
To experience the natural world with everything to gain.
To live full lives and ruminate forever
To medicate themselves from herbs and plants
In and around where cows from instinct supplement
The nutrients its knowledge its not chance.
