Two apples

It’s a bright and clear evening

the bushes are sparkling

sunlit and wonderful

i thought that I

would go up to the terrace

and pick me an apple

one with a rosy bloom

juicy and sweet

the suns showing off all the tonal frivolity

the town looks resplendent

both of them juicy

down to my agility

the grass rather slippery
Its freshness so vital

straight off the tree

cold mountain air

and pent up dew

got my teeth into one of them

only a few

ready to eat

but home grown spectacularly

the boughs quite a view

at least twent apples

waiting to ripen

sucking up all of that mist

from the sky

Building  the minerals

and all that fibre
have

ing them home grown

is the reason why.
