Bird boys and girls

It’s a bit of a drench

this Tuesday morning

the wind section

Brazenly calling the tune
the bushes are rocking

the rain rods are knocking

the sky steely grey

you might say it’s shocking

but there’s light in the sky

there’s  mist in them hills
those  gusts  you can hear them
They give me the chills

but I am safe in my living room

watching it all

the birds feed and dart away

clearly so small

they do face the wrath

the cold rain that will

soak their fine feathers.
