The Hungry Gorilla

We live in the Congo
It feels far away
A mountain our vista
The Silverbacks say
A great depth of greenery
The juiciest of leaves
The tastiest roots
Where spirit achieves

Goodness and grace
At a glorious pace
Such is our existence
Seclusion a place
Where knowledge is bountiful
And the great lease
Of life giving properties
That they release

We love the Congo
Virunga the place
Calling for boldness
It’s been our base
Bringing our family up
Where vistas’s of peace
Bring beautiful sanctity
And true release

In North Wales we shared
A haven of joy
Great dedication
These people employ
A vegan eating place
Far far away
Where beautiful people
Make food every day

Mountains reach heights
Colourful sights
Crystal clear streams
Running cool day and night
Sustainable lunches
Hand selected fair
Conjured with love
Heartfelt and aware

The hungry gorilla
Is peaceful and calm
Respectful of Nature
A curious charm
Masterfully magical
Uniquely so
Where great mountains loom
And where cool rivers too

Nurturing thoughtfulness
Emboldened with care
Platters of tastiness
These souls aware
Of the travellers ardour
Of the food that’s complete
Getting taste buds enlivened
fulfilled and complete

North Wales a haven
A vista so fine
Slate caverns mighty
And a great place to dine
A coming together of true food where we
Enjoyed the wholeness
And real harmony

The Hungry Gorilla
Calmed at first sight
Respectful people
Shared the sweet light
Served by the gentle
Of purest repose
In a heavenly homage
And a dutiful prose

A cash only business
Philosophy wise
The calmest of energies
All realise
In comfort and peace
Where enjoyment does fly
Hot drinks and real food
For the quiet passers by

Respect you can feel it
A heartfelt desire
To witness the mountains
The brooks born from higher
Stations where soft clouds
Draw energy, where
Us weary travellers
Honestly share

Thank you to all of you
For hearty meals
Cruelty free
You know how that feels
Take away sharing
Abundance most true
A great place to visit
For people who do

Appreciate peace and quiet
And gentle thought
Surrounded by vistas
In time we were caught
By the truest emotions
Attracting us all
The discerning travellers
Who thought to call
