Cages and the lies some tell

The EU makes out everything is
Dandy but it’s not
Animals in cages
Sadly there’s a lot
Despite all their promises
The use of cages still
Goes on and on
For the Meat Trade
Exerts it’s will
Not a spark of empathy
Animal welfare NO
The demands of animal agribusiness
The lobby groups just grow

300 million animals
Will spend time in a cage
In a pen or in a stall
Actually They go up the wall
In a mini rage

And consumers they care nothing
Even in waitrose those
Leave their big cars in the park
Then follow their nose
Whether the meat they are buying
Was tortured so few care
Animals must be respected
Every blooming where
