two chimpanzee’s
released from the medics Lab
from the the ugly torture
they underwent each day
on the filthy slab
released allowed
a sanctuary
somehow to clear their mind
to help them forget the insanity
a green place to unwind
away from human squalor
Like our bloody nhs
we banged our kettles
maybe you did
but I didn’t care a less

Hearts still intact
the positive
Now they both attract
and remember the lass who loved them for 4 years
despite their torture despite accrued memories despite all that
they remembered her love and kindness
