fossil stone eggs
Some Duids acclaim
an obsessional cause
part of a chain
a purpose to ground us
imagine the deed
the conglommeration
of lifeless who feed
on the wildness of Nature
the rake of the earth
embalmed in the centuries
for what they are worth
the Egg of the druids
many were rife
fossilized creatures
unidentifued life
ancient feathered creatures
urchins that swam
bound with froth and commitment
in a pulverised jam
the passage of time
brought soft cells into shock
pitted and marbled
out of living rock.
Ancientness hovers
look deeply, we
see the writhing of stout legs
and souls from the sea
an egg bound of beings
heavy yet we
can delve into its midst
and believe we are free
