A hate crime

an officer of the law

apparently

was disliked by some  people

Of course though actually

what for

possibly as an officer

those commiting crime

Being hauled up

and imprisoned

and had to then serve time

it happens,  but a human being

still

his heartfelt desire

to have a little puppy

and to chill

a fire  burned inside this officer

at the Parsons police

no matter who we  are and what we are

its a release

to have a little animal

to love it and to be

gentle   caring and sharing

as a consequence

we see

horrors happening everywhere

and police some caring souls

find it nauseating

When  exerting their controls

It sometimes  draws resentment

and “Ranger” a puppy

he

was three months old

and a happy chap

but was killed  so mercilesly

decapitated and left

upon the doorstep

to be found

by the policeman

horribly

in his own blood he

had drowned

one front leg was hacked off too

imagine the agony

what some will stoop to

this hate crime

such animosity

lured into the garden area

and set upon and killed

carried to the doorstep

the horrors yes to build

when the officer found  his pet

irascible and pale

sullen and forbidden

in what is  this gruesome tale
