The miracle of the Canadian Goose

Our very bodies
Godly charged
Given with due need
Apparently are signed off
By the Businesses who bleed
Us dry, they sacrifice our souls
As cheaply as they may
Trap and injure make us
Into clothing
Its their way

Cuffs and collars
On display
Daring us to be
Inoffensive in our manner
Naive perhaps and free
Censured by the ugly
Theirs the venial sin
As paragons of virtue
Who share the wilder spin
Together we shall prosper
The salt of the earth gone by
Their lack of contrition
Quietens the lullaby
Each sacrifice they make of us
How villainous they be
Unfaithful to the shared god
Who prepares our destiny

And out there many angels
Support us quietly they
Don their masks and quiet their hearts
And go about their day
Appealing to the London crowds
To realise the pain
To hear the screeching agony
That must not be in vain
Giving them due process
And legitimacy
Against the unlawful trappers
Who bleed their dignity
Condemning us for being
Creatures of the sky
Outlawed by the villainous
Whose glory they deny.
