Dolphins never smile not any more

Dont ask a federal judge
To budge
Why should he anyway
Captive dolphins
Let out
And literally made to pay
“Bogie”Bacall” “Jake” “Luther” and “Buck”
All found the draw of the sea
Were let out to roam
Away from their home
Out of spite out of loathing
Yea free

Wildness
And human involvement
Captivity too what we see
Is mammals caught Up in relationship
Rigours
In Hatred and antipathy

For decades the thought
Of returning
prisoners
Back to the wild
Was destroyed by the
Ill conceived dump and run motive
five Captive hearts
Clearly riled

Ric O Barry and Good
They were judged to have acted
Wrongly the dump
How it compacted
On innocence really
On guiltlessness too
And how naivety
Just worked it through

A real hefty fine
Which just had to be
All those dolphins suffered
Did they want to be free
Could they cope After all
Was said and was done.
It really is dangerous out there
In the sun

There were no Dolphin smiles
Not where they swam
Their challenge was great
Others came Up to ram
To rake and to harm
Its a sad place to be
Like a child just thrown into
The depths of the sea

born of the wild
Of the godly the mark
Familial knowledge
Really its stark
Hunting and capturing
Is human behaviour
For All the sea creatures
We are not their saviour

No matter who we think
That we are
We have to be humble
And watch from afar
The moment we alter
that passage of life
We destroy and we bring
Down upon them our strife

Who ever you are
And whatever you feel
Captivity
Can never ever be real
Lifeless concrete pools
Chlorinated and rank
Is wrong on all counts
Our narcissistic bank
It Is just wrong
Our concern isn’t relevant
For they belong

In the Ocean where life
And their self preservation
Is guided by birth
That is their salvation
Who ever we think we are
We must not be
Interfering with
Wildness and their will
To be free
