DOLLY

For me sadly captivity
Is a factor here
But doesn’t lead to a love affair
That for me is clear
Kindness and a wish to offer freedom
From a cage
Is purposeful and seemly
And worthy of a sage

But stating that you
Were seduced by a dolphin
In the sea
Is unrefined and insensitive
With some vulgarity
Thrown in for good measure
It’s a lack of really being
What was reciprocated
Really wasn’t seeing
A human being and a dolphin
Where was the respect
Where was the humility
I am trying to detect
A spark here of commitment
A rationale of grace
It just feels weird and uncharitable
And completely out of pace
With what I see as reality
And blaming a creature for
A sexual tone in caring
For me that’s way too raw
Expression of a kindly nature
Seemingly construed
To sex am really sorry
The pathway just feels crude
