Assumptions

Unjustified assumptions
Presumptions everywhere
How the virus started
And the news that we all share
Hypothesis and postulations
Theories galore
What caused who caused
Why it was caused
Conjecture goodness knows what for

If we conclude it was BATS in the soup
Or pangolin scales in the tea
Or some other wild soul
Killed before their time
That’s how the virus came to be
Then we must wonder for primates
Similar dna they
Will be at risk from our arrogance
That much I know right away

Empty heads there are too many
Nonsense is spewed by the crowd
Everything’s smart even the TV
The fridge and the too well endowed
Meaningless films fill the airways
Gibberish songs night and day
Scams really everywhere stealing our money
And disrespect coming our way

Now we are locked down and fearful
The hate police are everywhere
Scammers and jammers and rammers
And loads of abuse in the air
5 g it’s military hardware
Weaponry now on our streets
Bring in the army the whole worlds gone barmy
Eating wild animal meats
