“May”

Drenched in the street
Puddles for ones feet
Under a car
Our little star
“May” cast away
In the squelch and the squash
Lying in pain
Completely awash

When we found her
Her heart beating fast as could be
Timid and nervous
All this we could see
At the vets she was sickly
In an incubator
Terribly cold
Waiting until later
When she got IV fluids
Clearly in shock
Having been left on her own
After getting the knock

She was then taken home
And Was watched all that night
A vigil of love
For A brave soul in flight
A fractured back left leg
After x rays we saw
No wonder the shock
And The pain truly raw

After the surgery
Just doing fine
Eating well
A bit drowsy but
Her life on the line
Clearly some joy coming back
In her life
With patience and love
And an end to the strife

She is doing well
Has recovered

Thanks to STRAY PAWS for their love care and attention
