“The little kitten and the gentle logger”

Stuck inside a log
As inquisitive as hell
And somehow her body
Was stuck fast
And a friend helped her as well
Using his machete
Carefully he did chop
Layer after layer
He just didn’t stop

Being ultra careful
Slicing gently through
Her arm was free
A paw was free
Her squeaking voice rang true
Pulling on her body
Splinters trapped her fur
Little kittens get into scrapes
But she soon began to purr

She must have felt so frightened
There was nothing she could do
What was it she was looking for
She would’t have had a clue
How somehow she was stuck fast
And wouldn’t have got out she
Was grateful for the human
With his calm dexterity
