“Asha”

Called to some waste ground
Where rubbish was thrown
A drum containing tar
And a dog there alone
Clearly was foraging
Looking for food
And got stuck in the tar
Imagine how crude
Some people are leaving tar
Everywhere
And this poor bitch was hungry
And close to despair
Got caught in the trap
And was there a long time
The blackness like glue
Vile smelly slime

So many ignorant people
I shout
Who leave filthy drums
Just lying about
Philistines actually
Uninformed fools
fly tipping anywhere
Against all the rules
No matter they dump
It just anywhere
And animals suffer
A lot of despair

She couldn’t back out
Nor move At All
She crawled in and was stuck
Couldn’t even call
Her tail hanging out
There she would die
If nobody saw her
Or even came by

Animal AID unlimited
They
Were called and they came
To take her away
They could not remove her
Safely and so
They took the container
Too and did go

Back at the hospital
Using vegetable oil
6 of them took three hours
Of toil
Gently massaging and cutting
and cleaning and aiding
Her eyes were awake
But her hope it was fading

Giving her water to lap
No doubt she
Was reviving, their soft hands
Helping to free
Her hair from the tar
and her body as well
A great deal of care
She had been close to Hell
But now was relieved
To be free from the tar
And could stand up
And see and become their star

How brave she was sweet
Little “Asha” for she
Was called “Asha”thats hope
Infact in Hindi
All of the angels there
Loved the sweet soul
Who had been close to dying
But now had a role
To play the experience
She’d undergone
How she did lament
And it went on and on
Poor little “Asha”
Her place in th sun
What Animal aid Unlimited
Had done.
