The poor old bull

The bull was sick
He wouldn’t eat
Heavy and sluggish
On the street
Clearly in trouble
And we were called
animal aid unlimited
Hauled
Out that morning
And when we saw
The massive bull
Sat on the floor

Living on garbage
From the street
Festering in all the heat
Back To the hospital we could see
We needed to operate
rapidly
MAde the incision
And without a doubt
Started to pull
The plastic out
45 pounds of plastic we
Pulled out of the bull for all to see

Plastic bags food packaging
Wire and string
Nails and really everything
Plastic sheeting
Reels of twine
No wonder his life was on the line
Bandaged and left
To eat some hay
Share with the goat kids
Everyday

Outside in the sun
His progress slow
But recovery came
As well we know
The surgeons hand
Had made repair
His reawakening
And the care
Certainly spruced the old bull
To
Survive the ordeal
And remain true
