Massive changes coming
To planning rules I hear
Giving fracking the greenlight
And increasing the fear
All of us us are now having
And its happening right away
and its clearly so upsetting
As we witness the decay
To a lot of local democracy
Underneath our nose
Threatening our existence
The evil yes it grows

As to decision making
The tories reckon we
Are clearly now not up to it
Slash our community
Involvement, thats their
Quest in life
The corporatocracy
Forcing their agenda
Gasfields inevitably

Well I am sorry to Claire Perry
Greg Clarke and the rest
In this week of local action
such proposals we detest
Shale gas permitted development
Is working around the law
Its making us feel like idiots
Which the country does deplore

What was established for home improvements
Some bright spark feels it right
To corrupt the law
And thus ignore
Letting us have our bite
Of our proverbial apple
Called fracking and beyond
Fearful it is horrible
Coming from across the pond

Big brother and big sister
And big corporatocracy
Are becoming big dictator
And fracking just might be
Coming to our area
Gas and oil for all
Water wasted methane pasted
Now on every wall
Frack water despairingly
Disposed of anywhere
In the Manchester ship canal
Nobody to care
This is far from democracy
Its from the crazy tribe
It really is in the extreme
And we all hate its vibe
