Turtles and their destiny

I find it hard to contemplate
Decisions that are made
To overide the natural world
Where evolution laid
An existential promise
Instictively that see
A vibrational distinction
Where sea turtles choose to be

A private beach in Florida
On the Eastern Shore
Of the Gulf of Mexico
Private homes galore
An unadulterated view
Of the Western Sky
And then to see these turtles
laying eggs
They all ask why

Their place of natural beauty
Where the ambiance is pure
Bellair Shore must not ignore
Their need it is no lure
For creatures wild or any other
To lay eggs for they
Care about their beautiful beach
And all this is in their way

They fail to see the essentialness
Why nature sought to choose
They believe it lowers the very tone
Their exclusiveness they lose
A selfish streak, humanity
Who refuse to relate to the whole
Environment around them
I think that just lacks soul

A kinship with the natural world
A liason is the thing
The analogy of belonging
And what that begins to bring
To societies around the world
Who truthfully wish to share
Rather than Want the opposite
And really do not care

Irrespective of the nature
And its consequence to life
They care about their real estate
And house prices the strife
They feel is of importance
As for shell like sods
They can go and take a running jump
And actually blame their gods

For guiding them to a private beach
In Florida where we
The residents pay high regard
It costs enormously
To live here in this exclusive place
It reminds me of the tale
Of the giant that built a huge high wall
And Everything went stale
No birds no insects no animals
Visited him at all
He had his blooming paradise
But nobody did call

The world was meant for sharing
With the wild souls of the sea
Of the air the forests and the fields
We all need to be
One family together
For the common good
We are all natures children
Think hard because you should

To these rich guys in their houses
Overlooking the gulf and sea
Remember to be beautiful
Life just has to be
Full of love and caring
Dont uglify and feel
For Beneath your feet there is more to life
Than your real estates reveal

“I beg you all to think again”
