Like sharks the wolves have suffered
Long and hard from humans who
Have ignorantly labelled them killers
Its what the arrogant do
Yes apex predation but god like ceremony
They manage the ecosystem
And do it beautifully
Farley Mowatt in the sixties
Breathed some life back, he
Perhaps took it a bit too far
In “Never cry wolf” we see
Humans missing the point with wolves
And sharks
And therefore they
Have suffered really badly
Right up till today
It was the indigenous cultures
Ancient In their prime
Giving Reason to the dual aspect
That happened over time
The problem was that fiction writers
Not being wholly straight
Portraying them as “baddies”
Was a most ignoble trait
An arrogant rebuttal of what
Was a true acount
The problem was with so many stories
They really did amount
To a massive wave of untruths
About the animals way
Of acting out their godly task
To lead the Canidae
Imbolc is a sabbat and
A time when wolves do mate
Between January and the month of March
When sheep give birth and sate
Their lambs with milk a plenty
The celtic goddess she
Celebrates this period
When the sheep a lambing be
The goddess Brigid
She is
the goddess of poetry
She is the goddess Whom I think
Of And do so constantly
In my role as a druid bard
I feel her healing force
The power really of imbolc
A truly inspiring source
The white wolf and Dear
Maria
A lovely friend to know
Who inspires me with her pictures
And gives me time to show
Other forms of poetry
Beyond the subjects I
Major in now daily
Which is really why
I so love to see them
And try and repond
