Imbolc celebration at Clearwell caves

Today
we entered a world away
From influences negative
stepped back in time
All warriors
Pathfinders that all shared
The climb

A slow procession
Into a place
Hewn from the rock
The edge the face
Into the chasm
Where energy
And myriad lights
Did tranquilly

Transform our thinking
Calm our mind
Docked in a world
With the combined
Unhurried restful halcyon hours
Sedated almost
In cool showers
Of weeping moisture everwhere
Transfixed together
We did share

A temple where
A circle formed
of like minded souls
With spirits warmed
To merry meet
The blessed be
How was it formed
Inevitably

Our druid family
And would be friends
Honouring Brigit
Each souls urge sends
A ritual flame
And totally
In tune with all that
Came to be

Down there in the peacefulness
An old iron ore mine
More or less
Hewn and deep
Apparently
from the evidence
We truthfully

Felt we reaped
A celebration
for Imbolc
Serenely shared
A true sedation
Resting on our laurels really
Sharing breath
And so sincerely

A decantation of spirits waking
A coming together
Of really making
A difference
A truly continual flow
A circular chain
That we knew did grow

That freedom to feel
To express to bear
Witness To outpourings
Really to share
The ritual of engaging
The voice and the soul
Of Paying ones dues
And performing ones role

Darkness and shadows
Create the emotion
the sprinkle of light forms
A fragile devotion
Subtle each weeny light form
Did combine
With Ornamentation
That touched the divine

Transcending the spirit
The zenith beyond
A joining together
As if some great wand
Was wished upon everyone
An intimacy
Close and secure
Where it felt good to be
