From a NEKO CHIGURA through to TAIJI SEOUL LAOS and CAMBODIA

The japanese have studied
The feline race and feel
A really close affinity
Which they cannot conceal
Their ancestors were certain
Of their true worth to the soul
Clearly bewitched by them
And passing on their role

Of freeing up the mind
And Embodying the soul
That of a noble lady
With an inspiring role
In classic art they were
Pictured
Enjoying privileged lives
JApan unlike South Korea
And China where their knives
Are out for cats in general
Tortured like dolphins they
Feel the pithing rods and lots more
Yes in Taiji bay

So why do the Japanese do this
When cats they do revere
Why do we see this slaughter
This torture and this fear
In Japan the RICE CHIGURA
A piece of artwork we
See it as aesthetic its clean lines
Obviously

Matter to the japanese
Who need the cat to be
Comfortable and as beautiful
As any cat can be

A tatami straw globe
Made from rice, each straw
Grown and then dried separately
And hand woven
Less is more

Cats claws will not damage it
It is by fine design
Made from koshikari rice
This another sign

Of great respect
And reverence
For the feline race
Cool in summer
Warm in winter
Air circulation base

So much time and attention
But the dolphin and the whale
Gets short shrift from the Japanese
Which really leaves me pale
How they can be so sensitive
To the meanderings of a cat
Yet be so violently brutal
To cetaceans, so where I am at

Is the want of the same generosity
Should be in their heart
Not let a bunch of scoundrels
Obviously depart
From what is truest culture
To what is infamy
A pithing rod
To another god
Hooked up and skinned for free

You have the mind and matter
And can therefore agree
The dolphin has a special place
And taking them from the sea
And torturing them
So violently
Or selling them away
Is very very objectionable
Making the angels pay.
