Tears

we exist yet we are hidden
Immortal in a way
Always there to compliment
A sad event some say
Part of ones expression
In sadness and in joy
Excitement and perhaps when pain
Does start to annoy

Its like there is a reservoir
Behind our eyes where we
Exist in a solution
To really always be
There to give protection
When the wind begins to blow
Or when the sun is beaming down
With its florid glow

Inherent in our being
Something makes us cry
Pehaps we just get angry
Of when a friend does die
Perhaps we all get overwhelmed
And have to then resort
To a tear ot two or maybe three
When we feel that thought

Now to the mechanics
Clearly we are always there
Waiting for the call to roll
Showing that we care
Our logical progression
Is somehow through the eye
So intimately ready
To logicaly apply

To not be disproportionate
Or untimely we must be
Commensurate with action
And logicality
And we must be authentic
In everything we do
Not appear without a reason
And embarrass all of you

The masculine are rarer
For weakness can construe
Some inferiority
And that would never do
Women seeing lots of tears
Might then turn away
And imagine its a child their with
On any given day

The masculine emotional
Is the creative soul
Who sees the world much clearer
And in essence can control
But everything is emphasized
Every single hue
is more vibrant than the ocean
And regular as dew

When sleep doth overcome thee
It is then when we can rest
The fragility of eventide
That time for us is best
Perhaps ephemerality
Will hasten one to fall
Perhaps inexpectation
Will hardly come at all

We are kind of mini sprinklers
Helping to reduce
The fire that can burn through our hearts
Or conceivably a ruse
To fool the useage negative
And saturate maybe
But To be a tear thats escaping
Can be beautiful to see

For it shows a source of light within
And an emanation too
An expression so in favour
Of what it is you do
Your countenance your carriage
And your demeanour and your air
The appearence of your being
Which you wish the world to share

  1. Tina Selsmark says:

I wish the people of the world would find it in their soul to shed more tears.
To be in contact with their soul, instead of the shield we are forced to use everytime we experience cruelty or injustice or powerlessness .
Thank you for such a beautiful poem

  2. Rex Tyler says:

I do too too many people wearing armour fightting amongst each other

Really feeling for another and caring and sharing
I realise I must write for as long as I can and tell the world what I feel

    Thanks Tina x
