Whale watching

The medium blue from the light
And the sky
The depths where the great whales
Come up and fly
Barnacled beasts with their so
Massive size
Who explode at the surface
To then realise

Their worth for this earth
Their soul to control
Their heart does impart
A vastness of role
An explosion of bubbles
With the thrill to descend
As the man with his harpoon
Will try and defend

Theres the Japanese whalers
Under the flag
Of science
Norwegians somehow they lag
Behind in the great race
The Icelanders too
All killing us whales
For the Japanese who

Consume us our flesh and our blubber
Intact
Mercury radiation
PCB’s fact

Its in their cells
In their blood in their gore
We are the reason
They come for us more

The medium blue from the light
And the sky
Behold our great tails
Watch and see us come by
Look into our eyes
And what do you see
The greatest of brain
Looking straight back at thee
