COWshwitz California

One hundred thousand cattle
A source of much methane
The farting and the burping
Would drive me quite insane
Employing about 400 souls
On 14,000 acres
From farm to fork
It all is there
The camp that I call
camp despair

If you are anywhere near the facility
The nostrils tend to twitch
You will not drive with the window down
You will be thinking its a bitch
Some think its abominable
Others say aloud
its the rich smell of America
Forming its own cloud

Whatever it is it whiffs a bit
to high heaven and to hell
Temple Grandin believes its fine
They really do things well
As a vegan just imagining the numbers
Daily dead
All of them being processed
Does things in my head

Snd I have to tell you
All these animals lost
Throats slit bled out
Theres no doubt
In my mind that the cost

To fill the guts of America
Leaves a karmic debt so large
That nothing they do ever will
Prevent god Hathors charge

The ugliness of slaughter
On such an violent scale
Kept in these conditions
It really leaves me pale
I know they grow all sorts
Of fruit and vegetables as well
And have an inn
And a restaurant
Fleets of trucks that spell

Pollution it is causing
A lot of it I am sure
Because there are so many
Who don’t care about blood and gore
As long as there’s steaks a plenty
And burgers every day
And sausages and all of that
Those people are okay

No sunshine on their youthful backs
No green grass in their gut
The conventional farms have died a death
Those doors have all slammed shut
Its grand scale huge lot production
Commodities not souls
Living breathing feeling thinking
And a life time of controls

If more of the world were vegan
With the compassion of the few
We could reduce these huge great camps
It would be best for you
to Ronald Mc Donald who sold his soul
And all those burgers too
But keeping cows in such massive lots
Is not something that rings true

So they grow their fruit and vegetables
And thats a fine idea
But the cow angle is awful
I did not want to hear
What is wrong with the people
Why do they stand this pain
Why do they all go down this road
And follow the insane

Corpse munching is no answer
Dead food inside of you
Will never give you a life force
However much you do
Yes it makes a lot of cash
But the protein ratio
Is unbelievably out of sink
With soya As well you know

And its not dosed up with chemicals
With antibiotics too
And all the growth hormones
And GMO’s that not good for you
Stand back and watch the scenery
See how fit you feel
When you hear the slaughtering
That goes on there for real

I lay in bed this evening
Looking to the sky
Imagining the numbers
Who walk there and then die
Who breathe their last breath
Whilst I sleep
Sending nightmares through my soul
So that people can fill up their guts
With what is over control
