Frost spangled

The magical effect of Jack Frosts
Handiwork
An artist’s use of ice work to beguile
A fresh cold look of something truly beautiful
To sit inside my car and watch awhile
To take in the serenity of Winter
The givenness the priority of the now
The presence of the physical
Unfolding there before my eyes
The whole construction process
Tells me how

Relations of a kindred heart
Influential from the start
Perfection in its natural form
What we see no common storm
Could ever have engaged the hand
And mind to help me understand
It hangs together really well
Possibly a magic spell

The wonderment of all we see
And its peculiarity
A transformation from the night
Made extra special by the light
A harbinger of things to come
Exaggerated yes and some
A mural sketched out in the sky
Sculptured by almost every eye
