IT makes no sense

The grind takes place upon the Faroe Islands
With all the worst intentions there can be
A bitterness and rancour and a sourness
A persecution and a severity

Blood-thirstiness and what is an atrocity
As motor boats drive pilot whales to shore
Blunt end hooked knives then dispatch
These very soulful creatures
Inserted into their blowholes
Dragged and cut up into an instant gore

The major blood vessels are clearly severed
Sending vast amounts into the sea
All of them hard hearted ruthless and departed
Oppressive gloating infidels they be

Its not as if they have not be warne
About this
High levels of mercury abound
PCB’s are concentrated
In the natural blubber
And in the meat thats
eaten
Its been found

This is a very serious condition
It leads to neurological dismay
To problems with the brain to problems
With the heart
Cardiovascular problems and they say

Women are at terrible risk and have to
Not eat any whale meat any more
Parkinsons Disease is very rampant
With each month passing
Its now more than sure

Foetal nervous systems being shot away
Immunity is suffering as well
Hypertension and arteriosclerosis
Its a very very toxic food from hell

Its now truly unwholesome to be eating this
Whatever the numbed people seemed to feel
Maybe it was culture maybe it was happening
But now eating their meat is very real

It really is infested and polluted
Its germ laden and ugly to the core
Its now become so poisonous to eat it
To continue in this vein and eat some more

Is a madness that nobody should be doing
Its a cruelty beyond the thought of man
Its an evil that is causing people sickness
We know before why it all began

But now the vast pollution of the oceans
The PCB’s are killing and we know
Children and the women of the islands
Are truthfully at risk and as they grow

To be there on the beach the hooks are crazy
Swimming in their blood which soaks the sea
Drinking in the contaminants they live with
On all levels this crime is terribly

Off putting to the people of the world around
Who watch the news and see these creatures killed
Its all a throwback to an earlier time of such regret
And the continuance of blood that still is spilled

Successive grinds show recidivists are at it
They pay no attention to the laws we hear
Denmark should be intervening with urgency
But all of us can understand its clear

They turn their heads and let it all keep happening
Its undermining health and thats for sure
The womenfolk and their offspring are now suffering
And its truthfully now not something to ignore

Kaj Leo Holm Johannnsen is the minister
He can now do something if he tried
We have to have a result now on the faroes
Not continuing with saying they have denied

All the sickness coming from consumption
All the evil coming from the grind
Historical deplorable consumption
That truthfully has begun to blow their mind

The only remedy that now is out there
Is stop this madness stop each killing spree
There is no antidote for a cocktail where the mercury
Is very high and so is the PCB

Its evident its causing major trauma
It has become a bane for all to see
Its dangerous and its perilous to consume it
And those vulnerable are now in jeopardy

On a razors edge in fact for certain
Its hazardous and threatening us all
To continue with the grind as all the islanders now do
Is asking for such trouble and the wall

Of woe and death is coming ever closer
The danger signals everyone can see
As the alarm bells ring out every which way
The evil eye is now glaring at thee

deliverance is coming to the ignorant
To the arrogant they will have be sure
To the women and the children it just makes no sense at all
Taking on the risks
and of course the law
The scales are very obviously against them
Being unprepared is just no way
Listen to us please you have to listen
Or pay the price for forever and a day
