changing times

Dylan you  may remember

sang  a song a long time passed

that the times they were a changing

and I believe now are changing fast

and particularly the  consciousness

it really now is there

in some its  a great leap forward

whilst others stand and stare

Blackfish probably inspired

by the activists who chose

to write,

to sign petitions,

immersed in the throes

to stand outside the embassies

and at their altars try

to conjure up the goddesses

responses, which is why

the big black fish swam into

the lives of many a soul

the indigenous name for the orca

and that latent control

it changed the lives of many a  man

and gave this soul some face

and showed  us the likes of seaworld

were really a disgrace

capturing their wild souls

nothing short of a crime

and making them live in a soup bowl

all the fucking time

it really killed them slowly

grappled with their being

change yes it began to

suddenly all freeing

I suppose it needed to

for the creatures  were so sad

and going around in circles

can drive a species mad

the killer whale was sensitive

to every human trait

to all his  stupid foibles

and felt as they create

aqua parks and circus

and all that feeble stuff

that, the great orca spirit

had really had enough

and Tilikum a kind of spokesman

swam into the day and killed a trainer

and truthfully it all changed

so some say

Dawn had finally come to

and, blackfish reached into those

activists and carers

right down to their toes

humanity clicked into gear

change was clearly seen

those aqua parks

they had to close

for they were just obscene

what Sea world had been doing

under cover of  poor light

was reduce the power and glory

of the killer overnight

stress them, wear them down

and abuse was everywhere

and gradually those clouds descended

so we all could share

some empathy for orca’s

and  the dolphins too

for they

were also taking lots of stick

in Taiji far away

pithing,and  interfering

with their sonar in a way

again to throw our obscenities

and make all of them pay

those of us as sensitive

with their understanding shared

the immense abuse they suffered

and  it showed them that we cared

the movement has been growing

the energy was there

the slaughtering and capture

brings its own despair

the god and goddesses know this

the spells are out there too

the consciousness is growing

for we know what we must do

Seaworld at its pinnacle

has to be closed down

no one wants to see it

let us go to town

on them

and take them out of circulation

remove them from our life

its was purely an abuse

which brought the Orca

strife

the media outside have felt the ripples

the waves beginning slowly to unseat

it just seems so disquieting to so many

when they felt the stagnant water reach their feet

the public now are saying we wont go there

support is fading fast we have to say

virgin needs to stop sending new people

profiting from  this is not the way

everyone is more aware and fast dissaproving

of captive spirit
