to forest dwellers

primate tribes who suffer

stress and strain

those captured from those forests

where history was made

and shipped across the skies

whose morality did fade

with the exchange of dollar bills

wild slaves created and

destined to a life of hell

so hard to understand

there has to be a duty of care

where ere one stays

and hearing that in laboratories

there is a strange malaise

an incompetence develops

where the heart has lost its touch

where an arrogance has surfaced

and a darkness that is much

less realized and certain

but lies hidden and creates

victims in their silence

the master subjugates

the interns with such venom

with such evil with such pain

neglects the simple nature

and drives those souls insane

breaks down their every moment

and spreads terror near and far

enslaves their very being

no matter where they are

trampled on and sent to places

that was never where

the forest dwellers  lived and died

the areas they share

demoted to a place a sort of dungeon

in their mind

and disciplined and influenced

and clearly undermined

retardation follows

the spirit of the wild

captivity destroys the soul

each to his own the child

restrained feels lost and

almost pilloried

interned inside a hell

created by his captors

repressed under a shell

a quarantine of misery

a penitentiary

a repressive institution

that alienates the free

but revives the eternal spirit

that evokes  the Vanaras who

are woken from their slumber

to come back and try to do

to those infernal reprobates

who allowed themselves to fall

into the trap of tawdriness

and vulgarity to all

and the spirits of those primates

will permeate the place

and revive the call for  temperance

and atonement

and good grace

the gluttony of spirit

that insatiable desire

to divest a soul of its purity

to pickle it in fire

to transgress into a lawlessness

though  the victims demonstrate

they are too far gone to matter

and can never litigate

they are lost souls in a melee

as our  jurisdiction fails

so the need for some shape shifting

is what it now  entails

and so we may soon realize

the change will come and we

must understand each to their own

that’s how it has to be
