Sealing is a moneymaker

that’s what I have heard

this year they are up and running

70 ships the word

is out some have got stuck in ice

thats Karma fighting back

but despite all that

there’s money to be made

despite the flack

from animal rights groups

everywhere

who do find it inhumane

but the sealers and the fashion boys

have everything to gain

they are making millions

they harvest what a word

its as if they grow the seals in fact

I think that is whats spurred

them on its developing markets

in meat in oil in fur

3 areas where money is to be made

if they were

to face a buy out they would not make

these ongoing deals

despite the boycotts

around the world

there is money in them seals

they hope to double output

in St Johns the trade is good

they do have many challenges

but then they knew they would

Canada is working hard to

sell the products on

the fashion trade is booming

as is oil

out there upon

supplements of seal oil

a growing market too

so many people taking it

I dont know what to do

each seal thats caught and murdered

can bring in a lot of cash

120 to 150 dollars at a bash

and so its very lucrative

a pastime of those who

want to make a killing

for they do it just for you

seal skins from the babies

are soft and people say

they love to wear those skins

and they  do it come what may

its soft, its warm, its fashionable

to be seen in seal fur, they

are clearly bloody laggards

and should be dragged away

senseless, heartless money grabbing

morons brain dead sods

who do these awful things to seals

and then pray to their gods

Canada as a country makes

millions from its seals

the government cares nothing

for the myriad of squeals

each one presents those dollars

and so few there can hear

the cries of all those babies

who face the coming fear

who face the louts with cudgels

who will turn their brains to jam

who will leave them crushed and dying

and more than ever scram

let them die a lingering death

out on the natural flow
