They have gone through war
and mayhem
they had kids when times
were rough
brought them up and through the worst
when everything was tough
their bloke might have gone
off to war
or pissed off anyway
and they were left
to carry the can
and try to make things pay
and now they are 90 years of age
and tossed out on the street
Winter comes
America bombs
somewhere else
and her poor feet
she doesn’t have a heater
she doesn’t have a bed
her clothes are old and ragged
she would be better far
better off dead
Obama’s in the white house
The Bush family are rich
and the new world order
are running fast
they’ve got the new year itch
But the blacks and the first people
the aged and the poor
they are crouching in some alley
none of them are sure
where the next meal’s coming from
with no heating to afford
fracking came and fracking went
we perished by that sword
the fat cats ruined everything
and ran with all the dough
the water ended up like shit
thats if you don’t know
they killed most of the wild life
and built their CAFo’s there
natural Gas was going to be cheaper
but only the despair
is left for ordinary people
the fat cats ran away
the corporate world has fucked it up
and there’s nothing more to say
