The terror that emanates from the streets of China

At some time in our lives
each of had our favourite pet
maybe a cat may be a dog
some soul who kind of let
themselves into our heart
into our soul
they came to be
just little balls of fluff
at first
but you know gradually

we really got to know them
we loved them tenderly
they were always there for us
comforting us, for me
cats and dogs have done that
and were part of my family
and when anything happened to them
and they died how could it be

how could we live without them
their little soul we knew
and they were always around for us
we knew what they could do
we took them to the park with us
we played with them, we cared
they all responded happily
we bonded and we shared

those magic times together
we nursed them and they nursed us
when we called them
of course they came
and some times we did cuss
but still they came
still they seemed
happy and made us so
our pets have been our inspiration
as all of you will know

and so these memories
stay within our psyche, they remind us when we see
what’s really going on today
in China
what is truly grotesque
about the culture there
the massacre of cats and dogs
which make us feel despair

for we remember each soul who came
into our families, we
can identify with the victims
we feel for them instantly
it really rams the message home
the culture difference there
what we do behind closed doors
the Chinese butchers share

they just are ordinary people
but not ordinary at all
they are handling and torturing
cats and dogs who call
out we hear them mewing and growling
and we know
and just despise the methods
that clearly are now in tow

cages tightly packed with cats
mewing from their hearts
plastic bags packed tightly
slung up on great carts
we can see there’s movement
there’s cats packed tightly there
boil in a bag
whose lost their rag?
are the public there, aware?

a cauldron boiling on the pavement
and into it they go
the desperation of these souls
as rapidly they know
the boiling water puts an end
to their mewing clearly we
see blood and guts exposed
and now the soup that’s running free

a blow lamp held and trained on a cat
hooked upon a wall
singing off its body hair
we feel hatred for them all
the Chinese race is the vilest
that’s how we tend to view
them being just so blatant
and maybe in front of you

in the streets of Guang dong
it happens every day
no one even blinks their eye
this is the normal way
they do not hide their killings
its done in broad daylight
the street scene is the abattoir
whether this is wrong or right

that is what they do there
nothing stands a chance
cats are cut up whilst still alive
witness their painful dance
crawling on the bloody slab
trying to get away
but with pieces being cut off of them
they soon call it a day

I can’t imagine how they felt
being cut up in the street
people walking by them
it appears not to unseat
their emotions no one cares it seems
a cat a dog so what
they are being sacrificed
for a soup which is their slot

dogs big dogs are tied up on the railings
alive they are then butchered for all to see
slashing lumps out of them as they cry out
as they struggle
as they wonder why on earth it has to be
loyal of course we know they are and loving
but in China that won’t count for much at all
if they are identified, as dinner
then soon they will be hanging on the wall

clearly there’s a mindlessness apparent
no consideration of the plight
clearly thoughts of pain lost in the moment
empty headed possibly and not bright
irrational and absent from creativeness
uncertain doubtful misjudging what they do
uneducated and possibly unknowing
untaught untutored unread and clueless too

psychopathic a delusional insanity
really feeble minded and obsessed
really they don’t have an expectation
and no one really could say they were blessed
with any thoughts of right or wrong
for clearly
they have no clarification in their mind
thus they have no choice it might appear to them
a baleful baneful spirit far behind

dilapidated shacks collapsed and run down
contamination there for all to feel
disorganised bedevilment clearly the worse for wear
the westerners are beside themselves for real
carnage it is carnage they eviscerate
cats and dogs pulled out of cages where
you can hear the last cries as they meet their untimely end
a source of danger on the thoroughfare
