corporate negligence surfaces
all over
the oceans
who cry aloud
long lines ,drift nets, seine nets
violate and who is proud
no one they are so unfeeling
its what determines man today
there was a time when even
those true fisherfolk
cared or so they say
but now they couldn’t care a less
who has to pay
now its every single species
a random thing, along the way
even sea birds are its victims
laying lines across the ocean
letting drift nets drift
catches by catch by the thousands
and death for them its never swift
the victims caught up in the nylon
die a death and visit hell
torn and knotted they hadn’t spotted
the camouflage
had been done so well
Turtles. Sharks Dolphins
and Sail Fish
Sea birds even lost for sure
many struggled for hours and hours
and ended up just blood and gore
sanity left long ago when man
devised his gruesome traps
no account for living souls
the nylon tears and acts as straps
that throttle tear and violate
living tissue and we see
the victims when they are discovered
just pulled off and thrown back in the sea
wasted lives and wasted spirits
the environment is suffering so
and all because of the arrogance
the corporate shits out of the flow
their ignorance is something awful
they do not care or even see
the by catch that they so create
would shatter most unquestionably
humanity is now at a level
we kill just anything he sees
every soul can become a victim
massive die off if you please
we have to stop these vile designers
and the ignorant who ply the seas
who feel they have the right to murder
and maim and throw back
as they please
the chain of life is being torn
a’sunder by their vile neglect
man un kind is really at it
he isn’t being circumspect
he throws no caution out there sadly
its wanton murder at his hand
a flippancy of vile proportions
brinkmanship he can’t understand
and now he is indifferent to it
uninterested he fails to care
his lovelessness is so apparent
his apathy goes everywhere
uninvolved becoming troll like
we have lost our need to care
we cannot see the disaster looming
our rashness is just everywhere
