The cat and the crossbow bolt

Imagine this
you wake up one morning
through the cat flap you
push your head
and into the garden
like you always do
every single day
but this day
this day something
is at foot
you go through the
fields of silver
really you just put
your feet down in the softness
then yea what you do
is listen for the rustle
of the leaves
and then yea you
feel a pain as an arrow
hits you and that pain
its just so real
someone, someone’s evil streak
they of course reveal
an evil it was terrible
they aimed and let
it fly
it hit me right between my eyes
and at that moment I ask why
I was so happy being there
I was happy to be
alive and someone’s hated me
and wanted me to die
a sadness hit me more perhaps
than the arrow that was fired
that someone crouching somewhere
had in their heart desired
to see me writhing on the ground
someone wanted me
to feel the pain and evil
for all eternity
