He dragged the fox
out of the cage
in a strangling position
and tried to cup its snout
clearly this rendition
was slovenly
an operative’s off handedness
creates
yet more fear
which was very clear
the way it was done just grates!

clearly the fox was fearful
its big brown eyes were full
“Shit” the operative cussed aloud
trying now to pull
the fox into a position
where the anal prod could be
pushed into into its backside
and shocked incessantly

what a vile palaver
and all of this for fur
its awful just to hear the squeals
its shrieks they did incur
heart wrenching emotion
no wonder this goon erred
murdering day in and day out
every sinew stirred

who would do a job like this
do they have a place
a wife a family ask yourself
when they look at their face
what do they see
how do they feel
what can they think about
how can they sleep
for they will reap
